15.10.2022We have frozen costs of electricity for Poles for 2023.In times of global crisis, we support Poles and do not leave them to themselves. We have frozen the price of electricity for 2023 up to 2,000 kWh per year for all the households, up to 2,600 kWh per year for households including persons with disabilities and up to 3,000 kWh per year for families with the Large Family Card and farmers. The Council of Ministers adopted an act freezing the rate per megawatt hour in the amount of PLN 693 after exceeding the established limits.

Amongst other things, the Head of the Polish Government made his demand for the right to receive CO2 emission allowances or freeze their price at 20-30 euros. This solution would cause a rapid drop in energy prices in Poland. Yesterday, in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in a meeting of the European Political Community.

06.10.2022 WarszawaPrime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki we do not leave local authorities on their ownThe energy crisis caused by Russia's attack on Ukraine is also affecting local authorities, which are facing large increases in electricity prices. The government is reacting to this situation and is working on introducing a special electricity tariff, for local authorities etc., but also for schools or hospitals as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition, the Government wants to launch subsidies for local authorities that will sell coal to residents. The surcharge will prevent the price of coal from rising any higher than PLN 2,000. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki presented the government's proposals in this regard at a special meeting with local government officials in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

Rebuild Together” ConferenceThe Head of the Polish Government has taken part in a conference devoted to cooperation in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Experts, representatives of state and EU institutions as well as companies from the energy, IT, transport and logistics industries were also present. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, during his speech, stressed that Poland will continue to help Ukraine, as it has done so far. He also raised the issue of multidimensional threats from Russia as well as the need to build a new security architecture.

This was the preparation and arrangement stage ahead of an informal meeting of EU Heads of State and governments scheduled for early October. The issues discussed during the talks included the increase in energy prices in the EU, the situation in Ukraine following Russia's actions and economic issues. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki also raised the subject of working on the 8th package of sanctions against Russia.

27.09.2022 GoleniówPrime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki During the Opening of Baltic Pipe: Today, We Are Starting the Era of Energy SovereigntyThe head of the Polish Government together with President Andrzej Duda and the Prime Minister of Denmark symbolically started the transfer of gas through the Baltic Pipe. The investment is a joint initiative of Poland and Denmark. Despite the fact that the idea of Baltic Pipe appeared as early as in 2000, only the consistent actions taken by our government allowed to implement this investment. The new routes of gas deliveries directly from the deposits in Norway allow us to increase our energy security. This is a key issue, in particular considering Russia’s aggression on our neighbour – Ukraine, and Russia’s ongoing energy blackmail.

It is the duty of the state to provide farmers with economic and legal security, especially now when we are facing inflation caused by the Russian aggression in Ukraine. The 5th National Festival of Gratitude to the Polish Village was held in Ostrów Mazowiecka. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is the initiator of the event that is organized since 2018. The Prime Minister met with farmers, participated in the solemn Holy Mass and presented medals of the 100th anniversary of Regaining Independence to the Rural Housewives' Clubs.

24.09.2022Prime Minister in Świdnik on activities aimed at building a strong Polish armyTime of peace and safety in Europe has come to an end this year, on 24 February with cruel Russian attack on Ukraine. In the shadow of Russian aggression, the expansion and modernization of the Polish army is one of the priorities of the government’s actions. That is why we have significantly accelerated the increase in military expenditures - next year it will be 3% of GDP. This means nearly PLN 98 billion, which will be allocated to the development of the Polish army. Additionally, we will allocate PLN 30-40 billion for arms procurement. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited PZL-Świdnik - company that manufactured and delivered over 7,400 helicopters to customers in over 40 countries worldwide.
