10.10.2021Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: It is a very valuable idea for this stadium, our main stadium in Poland, to bear the name of Kazimierz GórskiDuring the Football Day event at PGE Narodowy, the stadium was named after the outstanding Polish coach, Kazimierz Górski. A plaque commemorating the distinguished head coach was unveiled and the celebration ended with a showpiece match between members of Polish parliament competing against the players from Jerzy Engel's team and Kazimierz Górski's Eagles.

06.10.2021Prime Minister at the EU-Western Balkans Summit: We opt for strengthening the transatlantic tiesEmphasising the importance of the European Union Enlargement Policy and economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic – these were the main topics discussed during the European Union-Western Balkans (EU-WB) Summit in Brdo (Slovenia). As Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stressed – Poland, together with Central European countries, represents a strong voice for the integration of Western Balkan countries into the EU in order to increase development opportunities as well as maintain stability and peace in Europe. The meeting of EU and WB leaders ended with the adoption of a joint declaration, in which the EU reiterated its support for the European perspective of the Western Balkans. An informal meeting of EU heads of state and government was also held on 5 October. The leaders discussed current issues concerning Europe's security, transatlantic cooperation and the rise of energy prices in Europe.

Paweł Szefernaker, Secretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Government Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with Local Government, became the Commission's Chairman. The Commission is composed of representatives of ministries and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.

30.09.2021Head of Government on late Kornel Morawiecki: In love, in good deeds, in a fairer Poland, in a better Europe and an increasingly noble world - you will be forever present30 September 2021 marks the second anniversary of the death of the late Kornel Morawiecki - a legend of the "Fighting Solidarity" organisation. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attended the unveiling of a plaque commemorating his father at the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office. The Lower Silesian Voivode named the regional assembly hall after Kornel Morawiecki. The Head of Government also attended a screening of the movie 'Solidarność to takie moje życie wieczne' (Solidarity is a kind of eternal life for me), which focuses on Kornel Morawiecki. He also visited Wrocław's Zajezdnia History Centre.

30.09.2021Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the Inauguration of the Academic Year at the University of Wrocław– The most interesting, important, advanced and expensive technologies are born at the junction of various fields: medicine, mathematics, IT, telecommunications. This is the future of science and also of the economy – said the Head of Government. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the newly established Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. On the campus, he laid flowers under a plaque dedicated to Kornel Morawiecki. During his visit to Lower Silesia, the Prime Minister also took part in the Inauguration of the Academic Year.

29.09.2021Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the Senioralia: You, the senior citizens, are needed. The whole nation most needs youSenior citizen policy is an essential part of our Government's activities. Financial security and activation of the elderly - these are the two of our main goals. Evidence of the effectiveness of the measures we have taken to date includes, among others, lowering the retirement age, payment of the 13th, and as early as 14 November, pension, free medication or the Senior+ Programme. The Polish Deal will bring new, favourable financial solutions for senior citizens. No tax will be paid on pensions and disability benefits up to PLN 2,500 a month. The reform will benefit 90% of pensioners, and 2/3 of them will not pay tax at all. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki spoke about support for the elderly during the Senioralia.
