For the last several months, we have been checking the equipment and the state of the temporary hospitals – today, this foreground of the battle against COVID-19 is already available”, said PM Morawiecki during his visit to a temporary hospital in Wrocław.

04.11.2021Heads of Government of Hungary, the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Poland, and the President of the Republic of Korea (ROK) met on November 4, 2021 in Budapest at the Second Summit Meeting between the V4 and the ROK. The participating countries were represented by H.E. Mr. Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, H.E. Mr. Eduard Heger, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, H.E. Mr. Andrej Babis, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, H.E. Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, and H.E. Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea.

03.11.2021Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki presented appointment letter to 12 members of the Council of the Lech Kaczyński National School of Public Administration (KSAP). The Council supports the implementation of KSAP's mission as regards the development and directions of the School's activities, while ensuring that the curriculum is consistent with the needs and challenges of public administration in Poland.

01.11.2021Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, preparing an aid package for developing countries, as well as disseminating knowledge on the importance of achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement were the main topics discussed at the COP26 climate conference held in Glasgow. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in the most important part of the meeting – the World Leaders Summit – a high-level meeting of heads of states and governments. During the talks, Poland’s Prime Minister raised issues related to solidarity, just transition, affordable energy and a clean environment, among others.

30.10.2021The Government Fund for Local Investments programme enables the implementation of new investment projects that improve the quality of life for citizens across Poland. Renovating roads and kindergartens, setting up nurseries and providing additional equipment to hospitals are just some examples of initiatives undertaken by local authorities thanks to government funding. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited Kalwaria Zebrzydowska in the Małopolskie Voivodeship, where the stadium of a local sports club – MKS Kalwarianka – is undergoing modernisation, with funding provided under the GFLI. To the residents, the investment project will bring such improvements as a new running track around the stadium’s pitch and a renovated car park in its vicinity. During his visit, the Prime Minister also met with firefighters from the Przytkowice Volunteer Fire Department.

28.10.2021The government strives to provide special care for the elderly. To ensure their financial security, Polish senior citizens will soon receive their 14th monthly retirement pension. Furthermore, they will be able to benefit from special tax solutions introduced as part of the Polish Deal. During his meeting with the pensioners in Błonie, PM Morawiecki emphasized just how crucial it is to maintain strong ties with older generations: “A tree detached from its roots dies. Our roots, which gave us life and experience, are our senior citizens – the generations thanks to which we are here.”

27.10.2021The Second Polish Republic owed its survival in no small part to the Silesian insurgents and their 1919-1921 uprisings. To commemorate their deeds, the Wojciech Korfanty Institute of Polish Thought and Institute de Republica prepared a special exhibition. The exhibition’s opening ceremony, which took place in Katowice, was also attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Mr Morawiecki emphasized that Silesian insurgents put their bets on Poland and these events should be remembered as victorious Polish uprisings.

25.10.2021The construction of a shipping channel through the Vistula Spit, which will connect the Gulf of Gdansk with the Vistula Lagoon, is underway. Thanks to this, Poland will no longer have to ask Russia for permission to enter the Lagoon. And this is the only way to get to the ports in Elblag, Frombork or Tolkmicko. One of the two crossings over the Vistula Spit – the Southern Bridge – was named after Jerzy Wilk, MP, who was an advocate for the construction of the canal. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński.
