103 years ago, on 11 November 1918, when the war operations in Western Europe were declining, Józef Piłsudski, who had come to Warsaw from Magdeburg, seized power to become provisional chief of state.

All Saints' Day, celebrated on November 1, is one of the most important Catholic holidays. It is a unique period of reflection and wistfulness. Andrzej Kanthak, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to South Africa, took part in the ceremony of presenting the Austrian Holocaust Memorial Award (AHMA) to the director and founder of the Johannesburg Holocaust&Genocide Centre, Tali Nates.

The Benedict the Pole awards were presented for the seventh time on Saturday, October 23, 2021, in the Ballroom of the Łańcut Castle. On this occasion, a symposium on "Polish research and exploration in an international context - Laureates of the Benedict the Pole 2021 Awards" was organized.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria kindly informs that protests against the current monarchy system are increasing in the country. There may be acts of vandalism (setting fire to and looting shops, cars and businesses). Interruptions in access to telephone services and the Internet are possible.

As the world is slowly recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, it is entering an era of uncertainty. Faced with new threats and challenges, we need a fresh perspective on geopolitical realities. It is the strength of national economies that will ultimately ensure citizens’ security.

A momentous celebration took place on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Black Madonna Chapel in the Cathedral of Oudtshoorn (South Africa). Bishop Noel Rucastle, President of the Polish Association of Siberian Deportees in Africa, Stefan Szewczuk and the Consul of the Republic of Poland, Michał Gierwatowski, officially unveiled the commemorative stained glass windows that were funded as part of the Polish-South African historical project.
