Poland in Tanzania

On November 8, our Embassy hosted a reception to celebrate the 106th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence. We invited Poles living in Tanzania and Tanzanian graduates of Polish universities to join us in the celebration.

To mark All Saints' Day, the Embassy's chargée d'affairs a.i. Katarzyna Sobiecka and the Head of Administration and Finance Edgar Klusa laid flowers on the graves of compatriots at Kinondoni Cemetery in Dar es Salaam. The Consul of the Republic of Poland Wojciech Łysak visited the Polish necropolis in Ifunda near Iringa, and the Vice Consul Krystyna Fatyga visited the graves of Poles in Bigwa near Morogoro.

We invite you to the Seminar: Innovative Technologies in Poultry Farming and Meat Production. The event is addressed to poultry farmers, investors and individuals involved in the poultry industry who wish to expand their knowledge on new technologies and methodologies in the sector as well as establish new business contacts.

Today, at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam, we had the pleasure of hosting students of one of the primary schools in Dar es Salaam. The meeting was an opportunity to read together the English-language edition of one of the most popular Polish comic books for children.

Health problems, lack of appropriate education and professional skills hindering them from gaining employment as well as social exclusion are still major challenges faced by people with albinism in Tanzania. The project ‘Better future for people with albinism in Tanzania’ financed by Polish Aid is primarily aimed at giving such persons equal chances of living a better life.

The World Esperanto Congress, held in Arusha from August 3-10 this year, brought together over seven hundred seventy Esperanto speakers from various parts of the world. The opening of this unique event, aimed at promoting international understanding and cultural exchange, was also attended by a representative of our mission – Deputy Consul Krystyna Fatyga.

The Deputy Consul at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam, Krystyna Fatyga, visited the Polish refugee cemetery in Tengeru along with participants of the World Esperanto Congress, which took place this year in Arusha.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam organized a joint watching of the group matches of the Polish team in the European Football Championship.
