03.04.2024Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Miłosz Motyka, US Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski and Michael Goff of the US Department of Energy officially inaugurated the Polish-American Regional Clean Energy Training Center (CETC). On 3 April 2024, the Warsaw University of Technology held an inaugural nuclear training session. The opening was also attended by the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology, Professor Krzysztof Zaremba, the President of the State Atomic Energy Agency, Andrzej Głowacki, and the Director General of the Chamber of Commerce for Energy and Environmental Protection, Bogdan Pilch.

29.03.2024Joint action on energy security, as well as the restoration of Ukraine's natural resources and elements of its flora and fauna, and the issue of starting negotiations on a bilateral agreement on environmental impact assessments in a transboundary context were the topics of talks between Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Deputy Ministers Mikołaj Dorożała and Maciej Bando with the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources and the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine. The agreement on Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of energy (the so-called Memorandum of Understanding) was signed during meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian side on 28 March 2024 at the Ministry's headquarters.

26.03.2024The issues addressed at the EU Environment Council meeting held on 25 March 2024 in Brussels included the Waste Framework Directive, the reduction of microplastic pollution, an exchange of views on the 2040 EU climate target and a just transition. Mr. Krzysztof Bolesta, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, participated in the meeting.

12.03.2024The cooperation with Ukraine in the energy sector was one of the topics addressed during the 9th plenary session of the Polish-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in which Mr. Miłosz Motyka, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, participated on 11 March 2024 in Lviv.

06.03.2024The National Energy and Climate Plan (KPEiK) is a document of key importance for both the Polish energy sector and other sectors of the Polish economy. Poland has prepared the preliminary version of an update of the KPEiK, which was submitted to the European Commission on 1 March 2024. Soon wide consultations on the draft will begin.

15.02.2024‘People must be at the centre of the green transition. We will not implement the transition without public acceptance of this process,’ Mr. Krzysztof Bolesta, Deputy Mister of Climate and Environment, stressed on the second day of the jubilee meeting of the International Energy Agency. The Ministerial Dialogue, in which Deputy Minister Miłosz Motyka also participated, was held on 14 February 2024 in Paris.
