After analysing the current monitoring data from the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection and meteorological forecasts, the Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa, decided to convene the Crisis Management Team. The Team issued recommendations for specific remedial actions. The recommendations have been submitted to the Government Centre for Security.

On 23 June 2023, Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa met in Wróblin nad Odrą with Opole Voivode Sławomir Kłosowski and the services involved in remedial measures in the Oder River.

The heat waves that have just appeared in Poland are causing a sharp increase in water temperature in rivers, canals and reservoirs. In many places, it exceeds 20 °C and reaches 26 °C. The Crisis Management Team of the Ministry of Climate and Environment has issued the latest recommendations, indicating specific remedial actions that will help reduce the growth and toxic blooms of the 'golden algae.'

Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa took part in the meeting of the EU Council for Transport, Telecommunications and Energy on 19 June 2023 in Luxembourg. The main topic of the discussions was the reform of the EU electricity market. Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Adam Guibourgé-Czetwertyński also attended the meeting.

On 7 June 2023. Anna Moskwa, the Minister of Climate and Environment, met with Steffi Lemke, the Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection. The current preventive and remedial measures and the restoration of the Oder River biodiversity conducted based on expert recommendations were summarised during the meeting. An additional topic was the issue of the ruling announced yesterday by the Voivodeship Administrative Court in Warsaw regarding the extension of the concession for the Turów mine for lignite mining until 2044. The German town of Zittau is a party in the 14 ongoing proceedings in this case.

On 5 June 2023, Minister Anna Moskwa met with EU Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson, who was in Poland. The main discussion topics were energy security issues in the context of preparations for winter and support for Ukraine in the energy sector.

In the early hours of Sunday 20th November 2022, the UNFCCC COP27 climate conference came to an end in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Polish delegation was actively involved in agreeing the outcome of the summit until the last moments.

"We are effectively restoring the Oder River ecosystem in order to make the best possible contribution to the recovery of the Oder fish population. This work is being carried out by a team of hydro-biologists, ichthyologists and geneticists, with the participation of scientists from Poland and abroad," said Climate and Environment Minister Anna Moskwa during a video conference with her German counterpart, Federal Minister for Environment, Steffi Lemke. The conversation, which took place on 23 November 2022, concerned the discussion of results of the preliminary Report of the Team for the Situation Arising on the Oder River and the planned measures to prevent such events in the future.

"Today, the key issue is to reduce the price for gas. Here there is no room for discussion or interpretation," said Anna Moskwa, Minister for Climate and Environment, at the EU Energy Council meeting on 24 November 2022 in Brussels. Deputy Minister Adam Guibourgé-Czetwertyński also took part in the meeting.

Cooperation in the energy sector between Poland and Ukraine was discussed during the meeting of the Polish-Ukrainian working group for energy, held on 28 November 2022 by videoconference.
