    The Vice-Minister of Environment Sławomir Mazurek took part in the 10th Petersberg Climate Dialogue. This year, the event was hosted by the government of Germany and the government of the Republic of Chile, which will assume the Presidency of COP25.

    On the 24th of April, the Ministry of Environment hosted an expert meeting of the Coordination Mechanism for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe Countries (CEEC) – 16+1 Forestry. The meeting was attended by representatives of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Latvia, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia and Slovenia.

    The growing threat to the life and health of residents and tourists, enormous fire risk and the need for active protection of valuable habitats and species force foresters from the forest districts surrounding the Białowieża Primeval Forest to take the necessary measures. That is why the Minister of Environment Henryk Kowalczyk presented a package of comprehensive proposals of legal solutions for three forest districts – Białowieża, Browsk and Hajnówka – during today's conference. The conference was also attended by Vice-Minister Małgorzata Golińska.
