The meeting was also attended by US Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo and Deputy Defence Minister Marek Łapiński.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to announce that on 11 February 2019, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry sent a note declaring Polish Consul in Norway Sławomir Kowalski to be persona non grata. The consul was given one week to leave Norway.

“Poland has always been guided by the respect for Belarus’s sovereignty and identity,” said the chief of Polish diplomacy during yesterday’s talks with the chairman of the upper chamber of Belarusian parliament.

"Poland will support the Romanian presidency in delivering its agenda, convinced that its work will make the EU stronger and will ensure greater cohesion among the Member States," Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said during a meeting with EU countries' ambassadors accredited to Poland.

“We need to remain united to stabilize the region and prevent an ISIS reemergence,” Minister Jacek Czaputowicz told during a meeting of foreign ministers of the Global Coalition to Defeat the so-called Islamic State (ISIS). The meeting, held in Washington, was chaired by United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

On 6 February, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will take part in a meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh in Washington D.C. at the invitation of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

In her statement on the 26th of January on behalf of all Member States, the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini called Mr. Nicolás Maduro for the urgent holding of free, transparent and credible presidential elections. The statement indicated that in the absence of an announcement on the organisation of democratic elections over the next days, the EU would take further actions, including on the issue of recognition of the country´s leadership, in line with article 233 of the Venezuelan constitution.

It was the fifth time foreign ministers met as part of the EU-League of Arab States dialogue. The participants discussed cooperation between both organizations, and key problems of mutual interest.
