Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda has taken part in Poland–Azerbaijan political consultations in Baku today. The sides discussed possibilities of and prospects for reinvigorating bilateral political and economic relations and cooperating in multilateral formats, among others the Eastern Partnership.

Deputy Foreign Minister Henryka Mościcka-Dendys has met with Osvaldo Zavala Giler, the Registrar of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, at the MFA headquarters today.

On 30–31 May 2024, Prague hosted the last meeting of heads of diplomacies of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization countries ahead of the upcoming NATO summit in Washington. Poland was represented by Minister Radosław Sikorski.

On 27–30 May, Deputy Minister Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef visited the Southeast Asia region. The visits to Thailand and Vietnam provided an opportunity to hold political talks with key partners of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and support Polish companies’ participation in business events.

Today’s event was attended by representatives of the Council of Europe member states and observer states as well as Warsaw-based international organisations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that as of June 1, 2024 the fee for a national visa application (D-type) as well as the fee for reconsideration of an application for a national visa will increase. The new national visa fee will be 135 EUR.

Today’s talks focused on domestic initiatives to combat the circumvention of sanctions imposed on Russia in response to its aggression against Ukraine as well as on exchanging information on the latest ways in which third countries are circumventing sanctions. Also discussed were possible ways of strengthening the EU response to these actions.

Monday’s meeting focused on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.
