The National Institute of Telecommunications, former Department of Transmission and Optical Technologies in Warsaw, together with the University Politehnica Bucharest and the IEEE Photonics Society Poland Chapter are pleased to announce the 23rd International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks ICTON 2023 which will be kindly hosted at the Central Library of University Politehnica Bucharest, 313 Splaiul Independentei, 060042, sector 6, Bucharest, Romania, July 2-6, 2023. Technical co-sponsorship by the IEEE Photonics Society is foreseen.

Easily reachable by plane (Bucharest Henry Coanda International Airport, Bucuresti-Otopeni), Bucharest is waiting for its visitors to visit its emblematic attractions: Palace of Parliament (the second biggest building in the world), Romanian Atheneum,  National Museum of the Art , the Arch of Triumph, National Vilage Museum,  Cantacuzino Palace,and many more. Additionally there are many daily excursions to Dracula Castle, Peles Castle and may other places.  Relaxation and wellness at terme Spa , a very big area of tropical climate with hundred thousand of trees is located at only 10 km of Bucharest

ICTON 2023 will be held as an in-person-only meeting.

The authors will be notified on the acceptance by April 30, 2023. Post-deadline papers with hot results can be submitted till June 1, 2023.

Students, PhD students and young scientists are especially encouraged to contribute and/or participate.
