Food aid

We participate, as a beneficiary and intermediary institution, in the implementation of the European Funds for Food Aid Programme 2021-2027, which supports people who are the most in need. The programme includes the purchase and distribution of food to those who need it the most. They can receive free food parcels, full-value meals, and take part in accompanying activities. In Poland, approximately 1.3 million eligible people benefit from assistance under the programme.

The National Support Centre for Agriculture implements the EU “School Scheme” aimed at promoting among children a healthy diet that is rich in fruit and vegetables, milk and dairy products, as well as consolidating healthy eating habits. The programme is aimed at pupils, who receive fresh fruit and vegetables, fruit juices, milk and dairy products several times a week free of charge. Additionally, they participate in compulsory educational activities specified by the Ministry of Education, including free educational workshops and school trips organised by KOWR, e.g. to farms or agritourism farms.
