Activities supporting exports of Polish food

Poland Tastes Good

KOWR is the key institution supporting the Polish agri-food sector, implementing numerous tasks aimed at promotion of Polish food abroad and supporting exporters in their expansion into new sales markets. We focus on fostering the recognisability of Polish products abroad by operating under a common brand “Poland tastes good”.

Our activities supporting exports are multidimensional and comprehensive. They primarily include the organisation of national information and promotion stands at the most important international trade fairs, associated with a number of activities supporting this presence, including media promotion and the organisation of business meetings.

Each year, we participate in more than 20 prestigious fairs on key export markets. We also organise trade missions – both abroad for the Polish operators and domestic for foreign importers and distributors, as well as webinars for companies interested in new sales markets. Each year, events organised by KOWR are attended by more than 600 Polish enterprises.

Export support by KOWR is of a systemic and long-term nature. We have been operating in many countries for years, raising consumer awareness on Polish food as well as supporting many Polish companies in food exports. When planning and implementing our activities, we both respond to the exporters’ needs by analysing their requests on an on-going basis and actively seek new development opportunities for exports of Polish food.

Apart from the activities carried out under the common brand “Poland tastes good”, KOWR supports organisations associating producers and processors in the implementation of projects aimed at increasing sales of food produced in Poland on foreign markets. Since 2004, more than EUR 120 million from the Common Agricultural Policy funds have been allocated for this purpose.
