KOWR and PAIH join forces to develop agri-food exports

On 9th September 2025, the National Support Center for Agriculture (KOWR) and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) signed an agreement to implement a multi-year project to develop international trade cooperation in the agri-food sector. The document was signed by Henryk Smolarz, KOWR Director General, and Andrzej Dycha, PAIH President.

Joint project for 2025-2028

The signed agreement concerns the project entitled “Development of trade cooperation between the agri-food sector and foreign countries in 2025–2028”, the aim of which is to increase the export of Polish agri-food products to key and promising international markets.

The parties declared close coordination of activities and intensification of cooperation in the promotion of Polish food abroad.

Agri-food experts in strategic markets

Under the agreement, agri-food experts will be appointed to carry out tasks supporting the Polish agri-food sector in selected countries. Their activities will focus on the following markets:

  • Saudi Arabia,
  • Brazil (with the possibility of operations in Argentina),
  • Japan,
  • South Korea,
  • German,
  • Nigeria (with the possibility of extending activities to other East African countries),
  • Singapore (with the prospect of also being present in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand),
  • USA,
  • Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Polish food – a brand of global importance

Poland has maintained a strong position in the international food trade for many years, offering high-quality products that enjoy recognition in many global markets. Strengthening cooperation between the KOWR and PAIH will further strengthen the image of Polish food and increase its presence in international markets.
