Market Intervention Department
The Market Intervention Department is responsible for the following mechanisms:
- monitoring and supervision of tobacco cultivation and the production and sale of raw tobacco,
- administration of the production potential of wine sector products,
- keeping a register of entrepreneurs conducting business in the field of production or bottling of wine products,
- monitoring the hemp market,
- monitoring the poppy and poppy seed market,
- monitoring the milk market, including maintaining a register of first purchasers,
- monitoring the obligation to conclude contracts for the supply of agricultural products,
- settlement of the quota years 2014/2015 and 2013/2014,
- keeping a register of activities related to the production or bottling of spirits,
- maintaining a register of entities conducting business in the field of production and processing of ethyl alcohol,
- maintaining a register of tobacco product manufacturers,
- intervention purchase and sale of agricultural products,
- subsidies for private storage of agricultural products,
- monitoring production on the sugar market,
- administering foreign trade in agricultural goods within the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy and processed goods not covered by Annex I to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (the so-called Non-Annex I goods, or processed agricultural products (PAPs)),
- Rural Development Programme for 2014-2020 in the scope of sub-measures:
- 3.1 – support for joining quality systems,
- 3.2 – support for information and promotional activities carried out by producer groups on the internal market,
- collecting, processing and transmitting to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development data on the volume of grain purchases,
- service of the Agricultural Protection Fund.
