10.01.2025
On 9th January 2024, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the National Support Center for Agriculture (KOWR) with representatives of the Ningbo city administration, one of China's most important trade centres and home to the Ningbo-Zhoushan harbour, the world's busiest seaport in terms of transshipment tonnage. The event was attended by Lucjan Zwolak, KOWR Deputy Director General, who opened the meeting, emphasising KOWR's role in promoting Polish exports in foreign markets.
During the meeting, members of the Chinese delegation also had the opportunity to learn about other activities carried out by the KOWR and listen to a presentation on the potential of the Polish agri-food industry and its attractiveness to the Chinese market. They stressed their willingness to cooperate in organising events involving Polish and Chinese food industry entrepreneurs.
Zhoushan Harbour, a strategic logistics hub in global trade, connects China with markets around the world. Its importance for international maritime transport makes Ningbo a key Asian partner in developing economic cooperation, particularly for the Polish agri-food sector.
The meeting contributed to the development of trade relations between the Republic of Poland and the People's Republic of China pointing to the enormous opportunities offered by cooperation in the sectors of agriculture, logistics and international trade, especially in the context of access to the strategic Ningbo-Zhoushan Harbour.
