10.12.2025

The National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) is once again taking part in Food Africa, held in the Egyptian capital city of Cairo for a decade already. The fair has consistently established itself as the most important food industry exhibition in the North African region and on the entire African continent.

The stand organised by KOWR gathered this year under the “Poland tastes good” banner 12 entrepreneurs from the agri-food sector. Polish companies that travelled to Egypt are promoting milk powders and other dairy products, poultry, beef, and pork, fish products, sweets, snacks, juices, nectars, and fruit purees, water, energy drinks, and other non-alcoholic beverages, pasta, flour, and other cereal products, sauces, and ketchups, as well as ready-made and semi-finished meals.

The official opening of the fair on 9th December was attended by Tomasz Ciodyk, KOWR Deputy Director General, and Michał Murkociński, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Cairo. The Polish stand was also visited by an Egyptian delegation participating in the official opening of Food Africa Cairo 2026.

The event is an excellent opportunity to establish business contacts with partners from Egypt, as well as other countries in Africa and the Middle East. It allows companies to increase their visibility and business recognition in the entire region.

In 2024, Poland exported EUR 88 million worth of agri-food products to Egypt. Egyptians most frequently purchased the following goods from Poland: apples (37% of export value), dairy products (12%), sugar (11%), cereal and flour products (7%), animal produce (6%), confectionery (4%), coffee and tea (4%).
