Poland Tastes Good for the second time at Fine Food Australia

From August 31 to September 3, 2026, the National Support Center for Agriculture along with Polish entrepreneurs will present food products and animal feed at the Polish national stand "Poland Tastes Good" at Fine Food Australia - the largest food industry event on the continent. The trade fair has been held alternately in Sydney and Melbourne for over 40 years. This year, Poland Tastes Good is making its debut in Melbourne.
Poland Tastes Good this time in Melbourne
Eight companies are exhibiting at the national stand in Melbourne under the banner "Poland Tastes Good." In Australia and Oceania, they are seeking importers and distributors for products such as processed cheese, milk powders, fish products, freeze-dried fruit and vegetables, NFC juices, honey with freeze-dried fruit, hummus, and vegetable snacks, as well as dog and cat food.
Polish companies at the national stand were visited by Karolina Cemka, Chargée d'Affaires a.i. of the Polish Embassy in Canberra, and Marzena Krajniewska, an expert from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency's (PAIH) Foreign Trade Office in Sydney.
Fine Food Australia is an excellent opportunity to learn about local market trends and new products. The fair also provides opportunities to network with local food distributors and importers, restaurant and café owners, and chefs.
Additional Business Networking Opportunities
Polish companies participating in Fine Food Australia also participated in an additional event held on September 1st. The event was held on the occasion of the fair and provided opportunities for establishing business contacts with local contractors. The networking event was organized in cooperation with the PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Sydney and the Polish Australian Chamber of Commerce (PACC).
Why is Australia worth considering?
Australia, despite its considerable geographical distance from Poland, is a promising market for Polish agri-food products. The country is a major exporter and importer of food. The country's population is highly ethnically diverse, so there is significant demand for imported products from around the world.
Poland is among the leading European Union countries exporting agri-food products to Australia. A new impetus for trade development in the coming years should come from the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the EU and Australia, which took eight years to negotiate and concluded on March 24, 2026.
Agri-food exports from Poland to Australia
Despite many restrictions, food exports from Poland to Australia have been growing rapidly for over a decade. In 2010, it amounted to €21 million, and in 2025, it will reach €166 million. This makes Australia one of the most important destinations for Polish agri-food exports among non-EU countries in 2025.
