Polish Arabian Horse Days 2025 - a spectacular success
10.08.2025
The Polish Arabian Horse Days took place in Janów Podlaski, beginning on Thursday, 7th August. The event culminated in the 47th Polish National Arabian Horse Show and Sunday's Pride of Poland auction. The event closed on Monday with this year's Summer Sale. The total amount raised during both Arabian horse auctions amounted to €1,546,500.
Polish Arabian horse breeding boasts a rich history and is part of our national heritage, recognised and appreciated worldwide. During the Polish Arabian Horse Days, Janów Podlaski becomes a venue for the most beautiful mares and stallions of this breed to compete, evaluated by a panel of international judges.
The 2025 edition was attended by, among others, the Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Dorota Niedziela, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Jacek Czerniak and Undersecretary of State Adam Nowak, as well as the entire management of the National Support Centre for Agriculture, headed by the Director General Henryk Smolarz.
Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup
For the first time, the Arabian Horse Days were preceded by the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup. This international event, organised and financed by the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, is dedicated to breeders and stud farms that produce up to 15 foals annually. Unlike the National Show, the foreign breeders may also take part in the Emirates Cup.
The show generated considerable interest, with 33 mares and 19 stallions participating. Prizes and cash prizes were awarded to both class and championship winners.
47th Polish Nationals
The 47th Polish National Arabian Horse Show featured three days of thrilling competition between 115 horses, both from state studs in Janów Podlaski, Michałów, and Białka, as well as those belonging to private owners. An international jury evaluated the horses in 15 classes, based on age – mares and stallions separately. Judges assessed and awarded points for five traits: type, head and neck, body, legs, and movement. The winning horses have a fast track to the European Championships.
The title of best horse at the 47th National Arabian Horse Show, also winning the Polish Senior Mare Championship, went to Encarina, an eight-year-old mare from Janów Podlaski Stud. Furthermore:
- Anagramma won the Polish Junior Mare Championship, also from Janów Podlaski, while Psyche Alia beat her competition in the Yearling Mare Championship, a gorgeous filly from the pricately-owned Chrcynno-Palace Stud.
