13.11.2025

This year's European Arabian Horse Championships in Bedizzole, Italy (25-26 October), concluded with a resounding success for Polish-bred Arabian horses, including those from stud farms in Janów Podlaski and Michałów supervised by KOWR. Thanks to their excellent results, Poland won the title of Best European Breeder, while Michałów Stud was honored with the Best Breeder Award.

Nearly 100 of the best Arabian horses from countries such as Poland, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, and France were entered in the European Championships this year. As many as 38 horses were Polish-bred – 31 of which still have Polish owners, while 7 were sold and now compete in other countries. Polish-bred horses won 12 of the 18 championship medals, 8 of which went to horses still owned by Poland. Michałów Stud won the most medals, with its horses winning gold twice:

  • bay Dytwin (Morion – Dama Róż / Vitorio TO) in the Yearling Colts Championship,
  • 7-year-old grey Wildanova (WH Justice – Wilda / Gazal Al Shaqab) in the Senior Mares Championship.

Silver medals for Michałów were won by:

  • 3-year-old grey Ekarosa (Paris – Emandoria / Gazal Al Shaqab) in the Junior Mares Championship,
  • 2-year-old bay Partes (Dominic M – Protekcja / Ekstern) in the Junior Stallions Championship,
  • 7-year-old grey Ptolemeusz (Złoty Medal – Parmania / Al Maraam) in the Senior Stallions Championship.

Furthermore, Michałów won one bronze medal in the Yearling Fillies Championship thanks to the grey Epiforana (Mutabahi Al Hawajer – Espana / QR Marc). The two-year-old grey Anagramma (Picasso Di Mar – Aminata / Abyad AA) from Janów Podlaski Stud also joined the ranks of bronze medallists, winning the medal in the Junior Mares Championship.
Polish breeders brought home another medal. In the Senior Stallions Championship, the 4-year-old grey Elon KL (QR Marc – Erigone / Ekstern) from Klikowa Arabians Stud near Tarnów took bronze.
The results of this year’s European Championships confirm the strength and tradition of Polish Arabian horse breeding, strengthening its global position and the dominance of Polish stud farms.
