For the sixth time, the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) has organised a national stand at the world's largest sweets and snacks trade fair: ISM Cologne. Polish producers will showcase their products in Cologne for four days, beginning on 1st February 2026.
This year, under the “Poland Tastes Good” banner, sweets and snacks from 28 companies are being promoted. Visitors to the trade fair in Cologne can find a variety of products at the Polish stand, including: cookies, chocolates, pralines, fudge, caramels, lollipops, ice cream, rice wafers, freeze-dried fruits and vegetables, chocolate-covered fruits and nuts, chips, breadsticks, crisps, breakfast products, bars, puddings, jellies and other desserts, cake mixes, gluten-free products, beverages, kabanos sausages, and meat snacks. Visitors to the fair can sample not only the products provided by our producers, but also try desserts, dishes, and sweet snacks prepared by Polish chefs, such as: traditional Polish gingerbread, apple pies, croissants with rose jam, mazurek cake, mini doughnuts, “W-Z cakes”, cheesecakes, apple crumpets, and sweet pierogi.
The annual ISM Cologne trade fair is the most prestigious exhibition event in the confectionery and snacks industry, attracting numerous exhibitors and visitors not only from Germany and all over Europe, but also other continents. The fair attracts exclusively trade representatives as visitors, primarily representatives of industry associations, supermarkets and retail chains, confectioneries, cafes, bakeries, shops, online food stores, importers, and distributors.
Polish confectionery exports reached €3.7 billion in 2024. The main export destination for confectionery products was the EU, with sweets worth €2.5 billion sold. Germany was the leading export destination among EU countries. Sales to the German market reached €849 million (23% of the value of confectionery exports).
