10.03.2025The Minister of Climate and Environment, Paulina Hennig-Kloska, handed in an appointment for a new vice president of the National Atomic Energy Agency on 7th March. The position was filled in by Paweł Pytlarczyk, a lawyer with experience in developing state policy on the peaceful use of nuclear energy and the management of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel.

21.01.2025The National Atomic Energy Agency hosted a workshop with experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency. The topic was IAEA international standards for the safety of nuclear power plants.

16.01.2025Andrzej Głowacki, President of the National Atomic Energy Agency, and Dorota Ryl, Voivode of Lodz, signed a letter of intent on the development of radiation monitoring in Lodz voivodeship. Additional eight new Permanent Monitoring Stations (PMS) are planned to be built there in the coming years.

08.11.2024On November 7-8 this year, the autumn plenary meeting of the Western European Nuclear Regulators Association WENRA was held in Poland at the headquarters of the National Atomic Energy Agency. The meeting was attended by heads of nuclear regulators from Europe, Japan, Canada and the USA. The Polish delegation, led by the President of PAA, Andrzej Głowacki, took part in discussions on current challenges in the area of nuclear safety.

07.11.2024On November 7, at the PAA’s headquarters, a meeting was held between the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency, Andrzej Głowacki, and the Head of the Dutch nuclear regulatory authority, Annemiek van Bolhuis, during which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between both institutions.

04.11.2024The President of the National Atomic Energy Agency, Andrzej Głowacki, met on November 4, 2024, with a member of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (US NRC), Commissioner David A. Wright. Commissioner Wright is in Poland to participate in the 25th INLA (International Nuclear Law Association) Congress, which has begun in Warsaw.
