09.01.2024 KPRMGovernment working on new solutions for micro-entrepreneurs and employersThe government will introduce a holiday from social insurance contributions for entrepreneurs and the self-employed. They will be able to enjoy the relief for one month during the year. We want to implement this new solution as early as 2024. The Council of Ministers is also working on introducing new rules for the payment of sickness benefit. The costs of the benefit will be borne by the Social Insurance Institution already from the first day of the employee's absence from work.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government has also decided to prepare a new Budget-Related Act. The PLN 3 billion earmarked for public media will be used to subsidise paediatric oncology and psychiatry, treatment of rare diseases in children and treatment of oncological diseases.

19.12.2023 WarszawaThe Council of Ministers has Adopted the Draft Budget Law for 2024“What is most important for us is to provide money in the state budget for 2024 for expenditures that fulfil obligations to millions of Polish women and men,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk stressed. These include pay rises for teachers and public sector employees, funding for in-vitro fertilisation and a helpline for children and young people under 18. At the same time, the government will continue the existing policies, including the implementation of the Family 800+ programme or the payment of the so-called 13th and 14th pensions.
