Building a strong Polish economy is very important to the government. It is, therefore, gratifying when a Polish entrepreneur takes over premises from a Western European supermarket chain. The Prime Minister visited the JAN Shopping Centre in Brzeszcze, which already boasts a ‘local shelf’. This shop sells Polish products from regional producers and farmers. Here, we see the shortening of the journey from field to table in practice. Such a solution bypasses the middlemen, i.e., increasing the Polish farmer’s profit.

Drivers can now use the new section of the S3 between the Polish border with the Czech Republic and the Kamienna Góra Północ junction. Expressways such as the S3 help boost the country’s economic development and encourage investment in places that can be reached quickly. New roads also mean new jobs and, by extension, support local development without people having to leave their small homeland. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attended the commissioning of a section of the S3 expressway.

Polish capital is returning to Polish hands – since 2015, we have been reversing the sell-off and privatisation of Polish companies. Polish companies are competitive and growing. This brings further investment and jobs. It also translates into a better quality of life for residents and further boosts development. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki paid a visit to one such company. Wałbrzyskie Zakłady Koksownicze “Victoria” has recently undergone modernisation. The company is the largest producer of foundry coke in Europe and one of the largest employers in the Wałbrzych region.

We care about both employees and employers. The solutions implemented so far, which concern special economic zones, encourage both Polish and foreign companies to invest in our country. Thanks to this, unemployment is low, and the quality of life is steadily increasing. The Polish Prime Minister visited Diora – Świdnica, a company manufacturing professional loudspeaker cabinets. The company’s headquarters is located in Europe’s largest economic zone – the WSEZ INVEST-PARK.

We care about the sustainable development of local Poland. This is possible thanks to a good economic policy and the funds we have recovered in the fight against the VAT mafias. We are investing in projects close to the people – building and modernising day nurseries, kindergartens, libraries, roads, pedestrian crossings and gymnasiums. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited one of the investments in Wałcz that received government funding. The new sports hall will not only benefit young people but also the local community.

The government is making sure that drivers in Poland can travel on comfortable, modern and safe roads. Road investments also mean new economic development prospects for our country. Work on the S11 section between Koszalin and Bobolice has been completed. Drivers can now fully enjoy the route over 48 km long. It used to take 45 minutes to drive this section, but now it is only around 25 minutes. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attended the opening of the new expressway section, built as part of the Government Programme for the Construction of National Roads by 2030.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the results of the second edition of the Government Monuments Reconstruction Programme. Nearly PLN 1.8 billion will be allocated for more than 3,200 investments. This means support for local governments, which, thanks to additional funds, can restore monuments to their former glory. These are often buildings which serve the local community – offices, schools or community centres. Community members will benefit directly from the renovation and refurbishment of these places, where they often work, study or spend their leisure time. This is another programme that will improve the quality of life in our country. It will also have a positive impact on tourism. We are investing across Poland because we do not divide Poland into “Poland A” and underprivileged “Poland B” or “Poland C”.

We have a social policy based on solidarity – the more vulnerable groups in society need the state’s support. We want to ensure an even better life for pensioners. In April, the 13th pension came to seniors. The government made the 14th pension permanent and increased its amount to net PLN 2,200. The money goes into seniors’ accounts. Seniors can also benefit from government programmes such as Senior+ and Medicines75+. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with senior citizens in Bielsko-Biała.

The health of Poles is one of the government’s priorities. We are taking care not only of infrastructure and modern equipment in facilities – we are improving the entire healthcare system. Every year, we increase state budget funds for healthcare. In 2024, we have planned a record amount of PLN 190 billion. This is more than twice as much as under our predecessors in 2015. This is possible thanks to sealing the tax system. We are using the funds taken away from the VAT mafias to implement government healthcare programmes. These include free medicines for the youngest and seniors or no limits to specialist doctors. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the hospital in Pionki and the Health Centre in Przytyk. Both facilities received government funding for modernisation.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki spoke to NATO ambassadors about the situation in our region. The head of the Polish government stressed that Russia's barbaric attack on Ukraine is not just a local conflict. It has consequences that affect the whole world - such as the economic crisis that many countries are facing. NATO is the most powerful defence alliance in history. Poland and the Polish people can feel safe.
