At the same time, he appointed him Plenipotentiary of the Government for the Security of Information Space of the Republic of Poland, as stipulated in the Regulation of the Council of Ministers dated 11 August 2022.

08.09.2022Poland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia want to limit the possibility of travel in Europe for Russian citizens - a joint statement by the prime ministersThe Prime Minister of Poland - Mateusz Morawiecki, Estonia - Kaja Kallas, Lithuania - Ingrida Simonyte and Latvia - Arturs Krišjānis Kariņš have agreed on a joint regional approach regarding travel opportunities for Russian citizens. In this statement, they express their political will and firm intention to introduce temporary national measures against Russian citizens who hold EU visas. This is to counteract direct threats to public order and security. At the same time, these countries will limit the possibility of entry of Russian citizens for tourism, cultural, sports and business purposes into the Schengen zone.

That is why we significantly accelerated the increase in military expenditure – it will be 3% of the GDP next year. It means over PLN 97 billion designated on the development of Polish army. We will also allocate PLN 30-40 billion to arms procurement. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited 30th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Kielce, that currently are the capitol of European defence industry.

It allows the investments close to the citizens to be placed throughout the country. The Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in the official opening of the Lower Silesian Sports Centre on Polana Jakuszycka. This facility will be the hallmark of Lower Silesian sport and one of the most important facilities in the country to be used by athletes, but also citizens and tourists. Investment was implemented with co-financing from the state budget in the amount of PLN 35 million.

This year’s Forum focuses mainly on the subjects connected with energy crisis, high inflation caused by Russia’s aggression on Ukraine and security in the broad sense. In this difficult period, the government supports the Polish citizens, among others, by reducing taxes or the implementation of the Government Anti-Inflation Shield. It is possible, among others, due to the effective sealing of the taxation system.

On the Polish-Belarusian border, which is also the eastern border of the European Union, a physical barrier has been created. It was the actions of the Belarusian regime that caused the construction of the wall. Alexander Lukashenko, wanted to destabilize the situation in our region with illegal migration. The 186 km barrier makes it difficult to cross the border illegally and provides time for the Border Guard to react.

Support for the municipalities and towns that were forgotten and marginalised a dozen or so years ago is bringing tangible effects today. Poland is coming closer to its citizens in every way. This can be seen in the availability of uniformed services in less populated areas of the country, for example. We put the safety of the Polish people in the first place. That is why we have built or rebuilt 154 police stations. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has visited the municipality of Nurzec-Stacja, where he met with residents and the local police in front of the new police station. The Government is consistently investing in local uniformed services by rebuilding police stations, investing in Volunteer Fire Brigades and subsidising the State Fire Service.
