21.09.2021State budget revenues in 2021 higher than planned - the Council of Ministers adopts a budget amendmentEven as much as PLN 78.5 bln - this is how much higher than planned state budget revenues may be in 2021. The Council of Ministers adopted an amendment to this year's budget to continue the support for the economic growth of Poland. Additional funds will be allocated, among others, to healthcare services, road and railway investments, as well as to support for people with disabilities. In addition, more funds will reach farmers to support their combat against ASF, as well as to local governments – among others, for investment in waterworks and sewage systems. What is important, the increased income means much more than new undertakings. It also means a lower deficit than previously assumed.

From the outset, our position has been that halting work at the Turów mine would threaten the stability of the Polish power system. It would have a negative impact on the energy security of millions of Poles and the entire European Union. Its closure would also mean huge problems for everyday life. The Polish Government is seeking an amicable resolution of the dispute with the Czech Republic and respects the interests of the local community. Today's ruling stands in contrast to this amicable resolution of the issue.

The theme of the second part of the edition was "Poland - Europe - Transformation." PWP is a meeting of expert circles and specialists from many fields. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in the ceremony of presenting the "Courage and Credibility" medal. This year the award was given to Prof. Gunnar Heinsohn - a German writer, sociologist and economist. Laureates of this award care for the image of Poland and its citizens throughout the world.

18.09.2021Football pitch and the State Fire Service (PSP) fire station building - new investments in Śląskie and Małopolskie VoivodeshipsRecent years have seen an increasing number of new investments serving residents across the country. Children and young people from Truskolasy - the hometown of Jakub Błaszczykowski, have gained a new football pitch. The opening ceremony of the sports facility was attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The head of government also visited the Małopolska Voivodeship. Together with firefighters from the District Command in Dąbrowa Tarnowska, he participated in the ceremonial commissioning of a new fire station building. At the end of the visit, Prime Minister Morawiecki commemorated the 80th anniversary of the death of the famous Polish skier - Helena Marusarzówna.

17.09.2021Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: we will strive to deepen the Polish-Lithuanian cooperationEuropean issues, regional security in the context of the Eastern neighbourhood and economic cooperation were the main topics discussed during the Polish-Lithuanian intergovernmental consultations, chaired by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė. The head of the Polish government, while thanking for the fruitful meeting, stressed that the meetings allow for the coordination of positions and deepen sectoral cooperation. These are the second intergovernmental consultations between Poland and Lithuania. The previous one took place exactly one year ago.

During the debate at the Sejm, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki referred to the opposition’s accusations against Minister Grzegorz Puda. As he pointed out, there is no issue more important for the government than caring for Polish Agriculture.

16.09.2021Prime Minister: the Royal Castle is a special place for Poland and every PoleThe year 2021 marks the beginning of celebrations concerning the 50th anniversary of rebuilding the Royal Castle in Warsaw. The celebrations will end in 2024. During the anniversary ceremony held last Thursday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stressed the symbolism of the Royal Castle in the history of Poland. The seat of the kings was the place where the first European constitution was adopted. It is also where representatives of the Polish authorities resided until the outbreak of World War II.

11.09.2021Prime Minister after a meeting with the Chancellor of Germany: The Polish-German relations are very goodEconomic relations, international security and cooperation within the European Union – these were the main topics discussed by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. Thanking the Head of the German Government for years of cooperation, the Prime Minister stressed that while difficult topics were frequently discussed, the solid policy on the part of both our countries led to very good economic relations between them. Poland is one of Germany’s key partners. The Chancellor’s visit in Warsaw is one in a series of farewell trips to capital cities that are key for Berlin.
