Eight EU countries: the Czech Republic, Ireland, Finland, France, Germany, Poland, Sweden and Italy took part in this year's edition of the festival.

On 9 May we commemorate the anniversary of the historic Schuman Declaration in 1950, in which French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman presented his vision for a new form of political cooperation in Europe that would make war between European nations unthinkable. The Schuman Plan is considered to be the nucleus of what the European Union is today.
