Types of decisions issued

The Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector issues decisions relating to:

  • withholding or recalling from marketing or use in health care facilities of medicinal products if it is suspected or found that a particular product or device is not approved in Poland;
  • withholding or recalling from marketing or use in health care facilities of medicinal products if it is suspected or found that a particular product or device does not meet its quality requirements;
  • withholding or recalling from retail pharmacies and pharmaceutical wholesalers goods the trade in which is prohibited;
  • withholding medical devices from trade in a pharmaceutical wholesaler, pharmacy, limited service pharmacy, or non-pharmacy outlets, referred to in Article 71(1)(1-4), or from use in health care facilities, if it is suspected that a particular product or device does not meet its quality requirements;
  • granting, changing, revoking, or refusing a licence to manufacture or import medicinal products and a licence for wholesale trade in medicinal products;
  • advertising medicinal products in violation of the applicable regulations;
  • appeals against administrative decisions issued by Voivodeship Pharmaceutical Inspectors.
