25th anniversary of the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police with the participation of the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector

The event was attended by representatives of the highest state authorities and uniformed services, including Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak and Chief Commander of Police Marek Boroń. Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector Łukasz Pietrzak was also a guest at the ceremony.

During the anniversary celebration, the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector offered extended official congratulations and recognition for a quarter of a century of effective combating organized crime. During the ceremony, Łukasz Pietrzak emphasized the special role of the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police in fighting pharmaceutical crimes and the excellent, long-standing cooperation with the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate (GIF).

- Effective exchange of information, quick response and joint operational activities are the foundation of our joint successes - noted Łukasz Pietrzak.

One of the key areas of this cooperation is specialized training courses conducted by GIF experts at police garrisons across the country. The series is implemented under an agreement between the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector and the Chief of Police and covers, among other things, issues related to illegal drug trafficking, counterfeiting of medicinal products and countering the sale of preparations that pose a threat to patients' health and lives. As part of the series, training sessions have already been held at the Provincial Police Headquarters in: Katowice, Radom, Kraków, Opole and Białystok.

Pharmaceutical crime is a highly complex and dynamically evolving phenomenon, encompassing both the illegal import and distribution of drugs, cybercrime, and financial fraud. Therefore, close, coordinated cooperation between GIF and the CBŚP is crucial to effectively countering threats at the intersection of medicine, pharmacy, and public safety.
