    It is safe, environmentally friendly and, above all, necessary – green transport improves the quality of life in rural regions. Thanks to the support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, amounting to almost 40 million Polish zlotys from the Kangur programme, electric buses will be used to transport children to schools in the next 16 municipalities. Agreements have been signed on this issue on 16 June 2021.

Its inauguration took place on 10 June 2021 in the Celestynów Forest District during a conference with Michał Kurtyka – Minister of Climate and Environment, Przemysław Czarnek – Minister of Education and Science, Edward Siarka – Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, as well as the acting General Director of State Forests, Józef Kubica.

    The positions of the countries on what regards the Fit 55 package and the implementation of the EU biodiversity strategy were the main topics of the meeting of ministers responsible for environmental and climate issues of the Visegrad Group countries (V4) and of Bulgaria and Romania. The meeting held on June 7 and attended by Minister Michał Kurtyka, as well as Deputy Minister Adam Guibourgé-Czetwertyński, was organised under the Polish Presidency in the V4 group, which runs until June 30 of this year.

Meetings with the Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski, the Chairman of the ENVI Committee in European Parliament Pascal Canfin, Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans, Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson and Head of Cabinet of the President were held on May 20th, 2021 in Brussels.
