04.12.2025On 25 November, Warsaw hosted the first edition of BioDezinfoLAB, an initiative of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, which brought together over 100 representatives of public administration, nature conservation institutions, State Forests, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, non-governmental organisations, academic communities and the media. The meeting was dedicated to strengthening competences and cooperation in counteracting disinformation in the field of biodiversity, and its main goal was to exchange experiences, network and improve the skills of recognising and neutralising false narratives in professional practice.

Deputy Minister Krzysztof Galos, the country's chief geologist, participated in the Polish-Ugandan Mining Sector Conference and Business Forum and the official launch of the PanAfGeo+ Country Window Rwanda project, attended by representatives of the Rwandan geological administration, the European Union and European geological services.

A Polish delegation led by Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska held talks with Norwegian ministers of climate and environment and energy, as well as with representatives of entities implementing breakthrough technologies related to carbon capture and storage (CCUS) as an important element of the decarbonisation process.

26.11.2025The draft bill sets a spending limit for the next 10 years, which will allow for the continued implementation of provisions on access to genetic resources and the sharing of benefits from their use. The secured funding will enable the continued operation of the control and reporting system for users of these resources, as required by EU regulations. These solutions guarantee the legal and fair use of plant, animal and microorganism resources, in accordance with the Nagoya Protocol.

Together with Mexican Climate Minister Alicia Bárcena, he successfully initiated the process of adopting a framework for a new Just Transition Mechanism, which aims to support countries in their pursuit towards climate neutrality, taking into account social and development aspects.

20.11.2025On 18 November 2025, the Government Work Planning Team approved a draft bill amending the Act on Renewable Energy Sources and certain other acts (UD332). The draft primarily contains solutions intended to introduce a support system for biomethane. The amendment also includes mechanisms focused on accelerating investment processes in wind energy and numerous changes to the Act on Renewable Energy Sources affecting the further development of RES.

'The prepared assumptions provide the possibility of suspending the collection of unsettled advance payments from beneficiaries affected by unreliable companies,' wrote the Minister of Climate and Environment.
