Joint research on critical raw materials and the development of the CCUS technology were the main topics of talks between the Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, Chief National Geologist, Krzysztof Galos and the Vietnamese government delegation led by Trần Quý Kiên - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment. The meeting which was also attended by Hà Hoàng Hải - Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Poland, was held on 18 September 2025 in Warsaw.

Poland is accelerating its energy transition by investing not only in renewable energy sources, but also in technologies to ensure the stability of the power system. Construction of the country's largest battery-based electricity storage facility has started in Żarnowiec.

On 18 September 2025, the ENVI Council met in Brussels, where EU Member States discussed the European Commission's proposal to revise the European Climate Law.

The first section of offshore tower manufactured in Poland was presented at the Baltic Towers factory in Gdańsk. On 17 September 2025 the Council of Ministers approved two important draft acts prepared by the Ministry of Climate and Environment. The first act provides for the creation of the Lower Oder Valley National Park and the second one relates to the amendments to the Act on the promotion of electricity generation in offshore wind farms.

The Minister of Climate and Environment participated in the signing of a grant agreement for the development of a Polish hydrogen locomotive. This vehicle will be able to replace diesel locomotives on railway sections that will not be electrified.

The Secretary of State at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, Urszula Zielińska, met with her Czech counterpart, Eduard Levy, to discuss issues related to noise emission monitoring in the area of the Turów Lignite Mine. As announced by the Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the Cabinet Council meeting on 27 August 2025, despite the President's veto of the Act on Energy Prices, the government will accelerate the development of renewable energy sources. Thanks to changes in regulations, it will be possible to increase the production of clean energy faster, especially from wind.

From October, a deposit refund-system (DRS) will come into force in Poland, and the first packaging with a deposit mark will appear in shops. Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Anita Sowińska spoke about how to prepare for its launch during a press conference on 14 August 2025.
