We hereby inform you about an update to the documentation for the POLNORIS Call under the “Applied Research and Innovation” Programme, financed from the EEA Grants 2021–2028.

The Project Contract template has been published in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations and Guidelines for Research and Innovation Programme implemented under the EEA Grants.

The changes concern: the Proposal Manual (proposal form template) and the Cost Eligibility Guide.

The introduced modifications are purely technical and relate to increase of the character limits in text fields, clarifying the instructions for entering data into the system, and clarifying the check marks regarding the status of an early-stage researcher.

The updated documentation is applicable from 21th July 2026.

Detailed list of changes:

1. On the POLNORIS Call website the Project Contract template applicable in POLNORIS Call has been published (both the binding Polish-language version and a working English translation).
2. Cost Eligibility Guide:

• Editorial changes – correction of typographical error on pages 11 and 20: “Project Investigator” has been corrected to “Principal Investigator”.

3. Detailed list of changes in the Proposal Manual (proposal form template):

• On the first page in the introduction it has been clarified to specify what is included in the character limit and how text fields should be completed;
• In text field 1.2 Spójność z realizowanym priorytetem / Coherence with the addressed key thematic priority, the character limit has been increased from 1,400 to 1,800;
• In text field 2.1 Objectives and ambition, the character limit has been increased from 2,700 to 5,400;
• In text field 2.2 Methodology, the character limit has been increased from 2,700 to 12,600;
• In text field 3.1 Project Pathways towards impact, the character limit has been increased from 2,700 to 7,200;
• In text field 3.2 Measures to maximise impact - Dissemination, exploitation and communication, the character limit has been increased from 2,700 to 7,200;
• In text field Description of the work completed before the project and determining the level of initial Readiness Level, the character limit has been increased from 600 to 1,800;
• In text field 4.1 Work Plan and resources, the character limit has been increased from 2,700 to 5,400;
• In text field 4.2 Capacity of participants and consortium as a whole, the character limit has been increased from 2,700 to 7,200;
• In text field 4.3 Explain the role of research manager in the project and how her/his expertise will support, among others, effective coordination, communication, and achievement of project objectives. If you consider that dedicated research manager support is unnecessary in the context of the proposed work, please provide a justification, the character limit has been increased from 900 to 1,800;
• In text field 5.1 Quality of bilateral cooperation, the character limit has been increased from 2,700 to 5,400;
• In section V.1 Kadra naukowo-badawcza zaangażowana w projekt / Scientific and research personnel involved in the project, the wording regarding the indication of early-stage researcher status has been clarified.
