European Research Council – Europe’s unique way to support frontier research

In the framework of „Brussels Talks” organised by the NCBR Office in Brussels/BSP, we cordially invite you to join our monthly meeting – the topic in February is the European Research Council. The webinar takes place on Wednesday, 9 February 2022, 14:00-15:00. The guest will be Prof. Maria Leptin, President of the European Research Council.

Professor Maria Leptin took the post of the President of the ERC on 1 November 2021. Before she served as Director of European Molecular Biology Organization from 2010-2021. She also established a research group in Heidelberg at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). In 1994, Maria Leptin became Professor at the Institute of Genetics, University of Cologne, Germany, where she still leads a research group. She is an elected member of EMBO, the Academia Europaea and the German National Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina), and an Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences.

The webinar is hosted by Ewa Kocińska-Lange, Director of the NCBR Office in Brussels.
