SPPW Call 2025 - ongoing call for proposals

Until 26 May 2025 (4 p.m. Central European Summer Time), proposals can be submitted under Call 2025 in Research and Innovation Programme, Applied Research under the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme.

The aim of the Programme is to develop cooperation between Poland and Switzerland in the field of applied research, to increase the competitiveness of companies by raising the level of innovation in their research and transferring the results to the economy. The Programme also supports young scientists and women in projects.

Applications may be submitted by consortia consisting of at least one enterprise based in Poland and one enterprise based in Switzerland. Once this condition is met, Polish and Swiss research organisations may also join the consortia.

Call 2025 is not thematically limited, but project shall be focused exclusively on civil applications. The Programme provides funding for industrial research and experimental development.

The minimum amount of funding for a single project is PLN 2,242,400, and the maximum is PLN 4,484,800. The total allocation for Call 2025 is PLN 66,203,985.86.

We would like to draw your attention to the scientific peer review of proposals, during which evaluators from outside Poland and Switzerland will take into account the following Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevance in relation to the objective and priorities of the Programme - coherence with the call objectives and relevance to the Sustainable Development Goals.
  2. Scientific and/or technical excellence - innovativeness of idea and appropriateness of approach (criterion with the highest weight).
  3. Quality and efficiency of the implementation and management, including quality and implementation capacity of the applicants and contribution to capacity and competence building (competence and expertise of project team, feasibility and efficiency of project plan).
  4. The potential impact through the development, dissemination and use of project results (contribution to capacity and competence building, credibility of the pathways to achieve the expected outcomes and impacts, intended short-term outcomes, intended long-term application of outcomes, benefits to society as a whole).
