The Joint Research Centre as the science hub of the European policies

In the framework of „Brussels Talks” series, organized by the NCBR Office in Brussels | Business & Science Poland, we cordially invite you to join another monthly meeting – the topic in May is JRC and its mission, strategic goals, role of the JRC institutes and JRC involvement in the policy making in research & innovation. Our distinguished guest will be Stephen Quest, Director General of the Joint Research Centre, European Commission. The event takes place on Monday, 22nd of May 2023, 11:00-12:00.

The aim of the JRC as one of the specialized departments of the European Commission is to provide, in accordance with the stakeholders’ needs, scientific and technical support for the foundation, development, implementation and monitoring of European Union policies. The collaboration with research and political institutions in the Member States, along with EU and non-EU partners allows JRC to fill the internal administrative gap in the field of science. This way integrated approach is assured and recommendations take into account prevailing technological, political and social trends.
