Webinar: “How will the New European Bauhaus change Europe’s R&I mindset?”

12.05.2022

We cordially invite you to our online meeting, organized in cooperation with the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU, dedicated to the New European Bauhaus, which will take place on Wednesday 25 May 2022 at 10h00-12h00 CET.

Webinar: “How will the New European Bauhaus change Europe’s R&I mindset?”

The New European Bauhaus is a creative and interdisciplinary initiative that connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces and experiences, bringing technology and innovation into the world of culture and aesthetics.

One of the potential sources of funding for the NEB is the Horizon Europe program. The NEXUS report presenting conclusions from the High-Level Workshop on ‘Research and Innovation for the New European Bauhaus’ will serve us as the basis for an in-depth discussion on the R&I environment vis-à-vis the NEB initiative.

The opening address will be delivered by Ambassador Andrzej Sados, Permanent Representative of Poland to the EU. The meeting’s agenda includes participation of several distinguished experts in the field, including the aforementioned report’s rapporteur, prof. Barbara Widera, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Architecture at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology; Piotr Dardziński, PhD, President of Łukasiewicz Research Network and the Plenipotentiary of Poland’s Minister of Education and Science for the New European Bauhaus initiative. Bernd Biervert from DG Research and Innovation as well as Ângela Pereira from Joint Research Centre will each have their separate interventions.

The meeting will be moderated by Ewa Kocińska-Lange, Director of the NCBR Office in Brussels and Agata Janaszczyk, Research Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU.
