A pilot school for regulating small modular reactors (SMRs) has begun in Warsaw. The National Atomic Energy Agency is hosting the event, which is organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials in Krakow is another institution that has received the authorization of the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency needed to prepare expert opinions necessary in the process of issuing a license for the construction of a nuclear power plant. It is an authorization in the field of strength of building materials used in this type of facilities.

Exchange of information, effective cooperation to ensure efficient and effective control and oversight of nuclear facilities - these are the main assumptions of the agreement, which assumes the cooperation of eight national institutions authorized to carry out various types of inspections of nuclear facilities. The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the National Atomic Energy Agency.

Andrzej Głowacki, President of the National Atomic Energy Agency is participating in the meeting of the Regulatory Cooperation Forum (RCF), held in Vienna.

Andrzej Głowacki, President of the PAA, participated in a bilateral meeting with representatives of the US nuclear industry, who are in Warsaw as part of a visit by a US government delegation. The conversation covered, among other things, issues related to the development of nuclear power in Poland.

Bilateral consultations between representatives of the Polish and Slovak nuclear regulators are taking place on 23-24 April 2025 in Otrębusy near Warsaw.
