Thanks to this, we have increased the possibilities of the social and investment policy of the state. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has visited the Lublin Region Customs and Tax Office in Biała Podlaska. In this difficult time, when the world is struggling with an economic crisis caused by events like Russian aggression against Ukraine or rising raw material prices, the Government is supporting the Polish people by cutting taxes or implementing its Anti-Inflation Shield. Despite the international crisis, the Polish economy is in a stable condition. In 2023, we expect state budget revenues to amount to approx. PLN 604.4 billion, an increase of nearly 110% compared to 2015. ”The budget belongs to the Polish people, not to the VAT mafias, and this is how we will shape the public finance system” said the Prime Minister during the visit.

The 2023 budget foresees an increase in expenditure on health care to over 6% of the country’s GDP. In 2015, expenditure on health care amounted to approx. PLN 78 billion. In 2023, it is expected to be about PLN 165 billion. This will allow for further investments, modernisation of infrastructure, digitisation, as well as the employment of new staff and use of modern therapies. Investments in health care are being carried out on an ongoing basis. "Our duty is to make further investments in medical staff and provide salary increases in this sector as well as modern and efficient health care," said Prime Minister said during his visit to Wołomin.

The irretrievable loss of intellectual, cultural and economic potential has not yet been fully studied. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in the presentation of the “Report on the losses suffered by Poland as a result of the German aggression and occupation during World War II in the years 1939-1945” at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Poland lost over 5 million of its citizens as a result of World War II. The team estimated the war damage at PLN 6 trillion, 220 billion and 609 million.
