22.06.2022With government support, multi-purpose arched-roof halls will be built in rural and urban-rural communes. Thanks to them, the inhabitants of small localities will be able to play sports all year round. The government will allocate approximately PLN 80 million for this purpose. The launch of the construction of lightweight sports halls was announced by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Minister of Sport and Tourism Kamil Bortniczuk. The head of government stressed that the constriction of the halls is a great opportunity for many young people who want to take care of their health. About 1000 such places will be created throughout Poland.

20.06.2022This year, we will be celebrating Entrepreneur's Day for the seventh time. This is a celebration of all companies in Poland. The Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG) includes 2.6 million active companies. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in the gala which honoured entrepreneurs who have contributed to the development and promotion of Polish economy by, inter alia, increasing productivity and innovation, developing human capital or ensuring a friendly environment for business and society.

19.06.2022The outward extension of the Katowice-Giszowiec road interchange is one of the most important road investments in Katowice in years. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attended the opening ceremony of this road section, which drivers will be able to use from 20 June. The outward extension has made it possible to separate transit traffic from local traffic. In practice, this means a significant improvement in safety and living comfort for residents. During his visit to Katowice, the head of government also celebrated the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of a part of Upper Silesia into Poland. The Prime Minister took part in a Solemn Pontifical Mass at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Katowice.

18.06.2022The government is aware of the crucial nature of local development. This is why it has decided to grant further funding to Poland's villages, towns and cities. Recent days saw Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attend the opening of a newly renovated bridge over the Dunajec River in Ostrów. More than PLN 19 million was allocated for the second, final stage of this investment project. During his visit to the Małopolskie Province, the Prime Minister also met with members of the Rector Committee of the Pedagogical University of Kraków. The talks with the Committee focused on a planned investment project, which is set to receive co-financing amounting to nearly 100% of its total cost.

14.06.2022 HagaThe head of the Polish government took part in a meeting of a group of EU countries in the Hague at the invitation of leaders of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Netherlands. The heads of governments of Belgium, Portugal and Latvia, as well as the president of Romania, also participated in the discussion. The meeting was part of the preparations for the NATO summit in Madrid, which will be held on 28-30 June. The main topic of conversation was the war in Ukraine. The participants also discussed the idea of strengthening the EU and NATO flanks.

13.06.2022 MyszkówThe head of the Polish government visited Myszków, located in the Silesian Voivodeship, where he attended the official unveiling of a mural commemorating Captain Jerzy Kurpiński, alias “Ponury”. He was a Polish officer who had fought for the independence of our country in conspiracy. During his visit, the Prime Minister also participated in the opening of a pneumatic sports shooting range. This modern facility was created under the “Shooting range in the district” programme, which promotes access to shooting ranges in Poland.

13.06.2022 ZendekThe head of the Polish government visited the fire station of the Volunteer Fire Brigade (OSP) located in the village of Zendek, in the Silesian Voivodeship. The Prime Minister thanked the firefighters for their service, readiness to help and tremendous motivation. We allocate funds for modern and specialist equipment to ensure that volunteers and firefighters can perform their service in the best possible way. We have also introduced an act concerning Volunteer Fire Brigades, which allows them to receive a special rescue benefit.

11.06.2022 WrocławThe Prime Minister took part in the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of Fighting SolidarityIn June 1982, Fighting Solidarity, an anti-communist underground organisation, was founded by Kornel Morawiecki in Wrocław. The organisation's aim was to achieve the independence of the Republic of Poland. During the ceremony, people who fought against the communist system in pursuit of this goal were honoured with the Cross of Freedom and Solidarity.
