    The actions taken by Alexander Lukashenko’s regime constitute the largest attempt to destabilise the European Union in the last 30 years. Poland does not submit to this blackmail and is doing everything it can to protect the borders of the Community and of NATO. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has visited the Podlaskie Voivodeship. In Krynki, he has met with local government officials from the border zone to discuss the current situation, including support for local communities. The Head of the Government has also visited the uniformed service officers who are protecting our eastern border every day.

    The Medical Fund is a specifically created medical and financial vehicle to finance the entire health system in key areas. ‘This is an unprecedented increase in spending on health care,’ emphasised the head of the Polish government. ‘The Medical Fund had the support of our entire government from the very beginning because it serves people and responds to the problems of the health service and the entire Polish society.’

    Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has received a booster dose at the vaccination centre located at the National Stadium in Warsaw. The President of the Council of Ministers encourages to vaccinate against COVID-19. People aged 50 and more may get vaccinated with a third dose as early as five months after full vaccination. Other adults may receive a third dose six months after getting fully vaccinated. More importantly, from 2 to 24 December 2021, all people who obtained an e-referral will have an opportunity to vaccine against COVID-19 without prior registration.

    The meeting of representatives of all Polish parliamentary clubs and groups, held on the initiative of PM Mateusz Morawiecki, focused on the current difficult geopolitical situation. Among the major threats indicated were actions taken by the Lukashenko regime, which put the Polish-Belarusian border of the EU at risk, as well as actions aimed at destabilising the situation in Ukraine and energy issues – e.g. manipulating energy deliveries and gas prices.

    The pandemic situation in Poland still requires special solutions – hence the need for temporary hospitals, such as the one in Pyrzowice. The patients admitted to these wards are mainly unvaccinated people – approx. 75 per cent of people who are seriously ill have not taken the chance to vaccinate. “Let us take advantage of the fact that we have an abundance of vaccines and that they are free of charge,” said the head of the Polish government. “You can easily register and get vaccinated in a number of facilities.”

    Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in the IV Programme Conference "Śląski Ład" ("Śląsk New Deal"). The debate focused on the role of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) in Poland and the European Union. During the discussions, the advantages and disadvantages of the above mechanism in creating energy, economic and climate policies were presented.

    Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with Prime Minister Boris Johnson in London. The main topic of the politicians' discussions was the crisis on the eastern border of the European Union. The head of the British government informed that, in the situation of the migration crisis, his country stands side by side with Poland. He also emphasized that, in terms of long-term security but also many other areas, Poland is the closest European ally of the United Kingdom in NATO.

    On Thursday, the head of the Polish government met with the current German Chancellor Angela Merkel. During his visit to Berlin, PM Morawiecki also met with Olaf Scholz – the leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) who is also set to become Germany’s new Chancellor. This was yet another in a series of meetings with European leaders aimed at coordinating the response of EU states and NATO members to the hybrid attack launched by Belarus. As of today, the eastern border of the European Union is affected by a migration crisis caused by Alexander Lukashenko’s regime. The weapons of choice in this conflict are disinformation and migrants, with the latter being utilised as human shields as well. This is by far the largest attempt to destabilise the EU in the last 30 years. In addition to the situation unfolding on the eastern border of the EU, the leaders of Poland and Germany discussed the current increase in energy and gas prices across Europe.

    The head of Polish government continues his series of meetings with European leaders to coordinate the reaction of European countries and NATO members to hybrid warfare in which Belarus is involved. He met with President of France Emmanuel Macron in Paris and with Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša in Ljubljana. Slovenia currently holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union, with the next member state to take it over being France. The Polish–Belarusian border of the European Union is now where hybrid warfare is taking place and in which migrants and disinformation are on the defensive. This has been the largest attempt to destabilise the Community for 30 years.

    The Head of the Polish Government met with the leaders of the Visegrad Group (V4) countries in Budapest and with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia in Zagreb. These are subsequent talks between Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and European leaders regarding geopolitical threats in Europe. The main topic of both meetings was the current situation on the Polish-Belarusian border of the European Union. The Prime Minister stressed the solidarity of NATO and European countries amid the current multidimensional political crisis – related not only to migration but also power generation industry and cyber-attacks.
