14.11.2025 PretoriaGrand Opening of the Walvis Bay Investment Project, NamibiaThe grand opening of the Walvis Bay Independence Beach investment project (a park with playgrounds) took place on 14 November 2025. This project is part of a larger project financed by the European Union. The project has been implemented since 2022 in cooperation with the Polish municipality of Czerwonak and the Namibian municipal government of Walvis Bay. Completion is scheduled for the end of November of this year.

10.11.2025 Pretoria20 Years of Polish Involvement in the Southern African Large Telescope (SALT) ProjectMr. Jacek Chodorowicz, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria, took part in the 20th anniversary celebrations of the SALT project. Also in attendance were prominent Polish scientists and the Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation of South Africa, Dr. Nomalungelo Gina.

In response to the growing need in Europe for experts in security, the College of Europe in Natolin is proud to announce the new study track within the Advanced MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies: European Security and Strategy. Candidates have until 14 January 2026 to submit their online application.

06.11.2025 PretoriaPoland participates in the interactive "Speak-Dating" eventOn 6 November 2025 the Goethe Institute in Johannesburg organized a meeting for language enthusiasts, as part of a multilingual "speak dating" session. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria participated in the event for the second time. The Goethe Institute's initiative was met with great interest from Johannesburg residents, and participants eagerly took advantage of the opportunity to learn Polish and several other languages.

Polish Garden of Remembrance in JohannesburgOn All Saints' Day, the Polish Consul in South Africa, Robert Rusiecki, and the Polish community gathered for a Holy Mass at Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg. Employees of the Polish Embassy in Pretoria also laid a wreath at the Katyn Monument.
