The Association of Siberian Deportees in Southern Africa, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria and Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre, organized on 24 August 2025 a screening of the Polish film entitled "Siberian Exile" in Johannesburg.

Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Center hosted the official opening of the temporary exhibition "More Important Than Life: The Underground Archive of the Warsaw Ghetto." on 14 August 2025. The exhibition was prepared by the NSDOK Munich and the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute, with the support of the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland. The opening ceremony was attended by, among others, JH&CG Director Tali Nates, Head of the Polish Embassy in Pretoria Jacek Chodorowicz, and German Ambassador Andreas Peschke.

Please be informed that due to the public holidays the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and Consular Section in Pretoria will be closed on 16 June 2025 and 19 June 2025.

The Polish documentary film "Amphibians. Pioneers of life on land" directed by Sławomir Skupiński and Elżbieta Trzonek won the silver award at the International Tour Film Festival - Africa 2025 (ITFFA). The awards ceremony took place on June 6, 2025 in Johannesburg.

The end of the 2024/25 school year was celebrated on June 1, 2025 at the Polish School at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria. School Principal Lidia Moń welcomed the guests and summed up the past school year.
