04.04.2023 WarszawaNew solutions for people with disabilities – the idea of solidarity in practiceBy working together with the disability community and their families, the government has proposed new measures to support this group. We want to introduce a support benefit for people with disabilities, regardless of age and income. This is up to PLN 3,176.88 for those who struggle with functioning independently the most. Carers of people with disabilities will be able to earn extra income on top of the attendance benefit. In 2023, we plan to allocate PLN 40.5 billion to support people with disabilities. This is over 2.5 times more than our predecessors in 2015. The new solutions join the systemic support already in place, including attendance benefits, carers’ allowances or remuneration subsidies.
