Poland in Sweden

On January 26, the Polish-Swedish Road Safety Workshops took place in Stockholm, attended by the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure, Mr. Stanisław Bukowiec, and the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing of the Kingdom of Sweden, Mr. Andreas Carlson.

On 29 January, the Embassy's Consular and Polish Community Section hosted a meeting with a seven-member delegation representing two Stockholm-based institutions providing support to people experiencing homelessness: the Social Welfare Department of the City of Stockholm (Socialförvaltningen EU Team) and the Social Emergency Services (Socialjouren).

On 9 December, a working lunch was held at the Residence of the Polish Ambassador in Stockholm with the leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party, Magdalena Andersson, as part of Poland's presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States. Ambassadors from the Council's member states participated in the meeting.

On December 11, at the Informal Meeting of Ministers for European Affairs in Lviv, Poland reinforced its support for Ukraine's EU membership by announcing its participation in the Ukraine2EU - EU Integration Support Programme. Poland has contributed €1 million to Ukraine2EU and will provide advisory support drawn from its own experience to Ukrainian public administration institutions it their efforts to conduct EU-related reforms and align legislation with the EU acquis. The contribution will also help to reinforce the Verkhovna Rada's capacities related to Ukraine's EU accession.

On 4 December, the Polish Embassy in Stockholm hosted a workshop and promotional event for Gdańsk, Sopot, the Pomeranian region, and Polish Airlines LOT, organised by the Polish Tourism Agency in Stockholm. The event aimed to showcase the rich tourist offerings of Gdańsk and Sopot to a large audience of Swedish travel agencies, tour operators, and media representatives.

The event was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland as part of Poland's presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS). The main topic of discussion was security and resilience in the Baltic Sea region, one of the key priorities of Poland's presidency.

The Swedish Ministry of Defence's Secretary of State, Peter Sandwall, was the special guest at a working lunch organised by the Polish Ambassador on 26 November as part of Poland's presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS). The day before, the Ambassador met with Peter Hultqvist, Chair of the Riksdag's Defence Committee.

On 25-26 November 2025, Mr. Wiesław Leśniakiewicz, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Interior and Administration, together with Mr. Zbigniew Muszyński, Director of the Government Centre for Security, took part - at the invitation of Carl-Oskar Bohlin, Minister for Civil Defence -in the meeting of the so-called "Coalition for Civil Preparedness and Resilience" in Stockholm.

On 24 November 2025, the Deputy Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Magdalena Biejat, participated in the 4th Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform, held at the Riksdag in Stockholm. The event was hosted by Speakers Andreas Norlén and Ruslan Stefanchuk. The summit brought together representatives of national parliaments and parliamentary organisations from more than 70 countries. The delegation accompanying the Deputy Marshal included the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Stockholm, Karolina Ostrzyniewska.
