The expectations of individual Member States towards the planned conclusions of the European Council with regard to the 2030 Climate Target Plan was the main topic of the meeting of climate ministers from 10 countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, Croatia, Greece, Cyprus and Malta. The event initiated by Poland, which took place on 12 November 2020, was attended by the Minister of Climate and Environment Michał Kurtyka.

Michał Kurtyka, Minister of Climate and Environment and Poland’s candidate for Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), took part in a discussion organised by the Polish Institute of International Affairs on the challenges facing the Organisation.

Although the call for proposals in the "Mój Prąd" programme will run until 18 December this year, the applicants have already exhausted a billion PLN grant pool dedicated to micro photovoltaic installations. But there is also good news: the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFEP&WM) is not closing the call but is adding an additional PLN 100 million for investments in electricity production from prosumer PV installations of 2-10 kW.

"I am convinced that, in the face of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of low and zero-carbon strategies in the energy sector is an opportunity for the much anticipated new impetus to economic development" - said the Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Adam Guibourgé-Czetwertyński, during today's webinar "Climate Neutrality - V4 Perspective" devoted to the perspective of achieving climate neutrality by Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Sweden. The meeting has been organised by the Polish embassy in Stockholm as part of the Polish Presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4).

The political and economic programmes for energy transformation and climate change mitigation in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic were the main topics of the 3rd Franco-German Energy Forum. The event, which took place on 3 November 2020, was attended by Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Adam Guibourgé-Czetwertyński.

Issues of cooperation in the field of energy and climate were the main topic of the meeting of the Minister of Climate and Environment Michał Kurtyka with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Poland Daphne Bergsma, which took place on 30 October 2020.

The role of renewable energy sources in Polish energy sector and economy was the main theme of the opening ceremony of the 3rd Energy Trends Congress. The event, which took place on 27 October 2020, was attended by Vice-Minister of Climate and Environment Ireneusz Zyska.

Poland has nominated Michał Kurtyka, Minister of Climate and Environment, for the post of Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for the 2021-2026 term.
