06.07.2022 TarczynThe Government recognises the need for changes in the child and adolescent mental healthcare. This why is it keeps on introducing reforms in this respect. It means, among other things, about PLN 650 million for psychological therapy and addiction centres as well as the changes in mental healthcare system. Organisational and diagnostic and therapeutic standards are in place at each level of the system. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attended the grand opening of the modern facility, which received funds from state budget.

03.07.2022 OrzyszPolish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in a military briefing at the Bemowo Piskie Training Area near Orzysz in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Province. The Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Mariusz Blaszczak met with the NATO EFP multinational battalion battle group soldiers. The countries of the North Atlantic Alliance decided after the NATO Madrid Summit to relocate the command of the US Army’s V Corps to Poland.

02.07.2022 TczewOn Saturday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki paid a visit to Tczew. This town will rebuild an 18th-century bridge destroyed during the Second World War. The district of Tczew will receive more than PLN 60 million from the Government’s Strategic Investment Programme to restore the historic river crossing. The town will also establish a branch of the Gdańsk-based Museum of the Second World War.

The motto of this year’s edition is “Transforming Our Cities for a Better Urban Future”. The event aims to discuss sustainable urban development in an international group. It is also about raising awareness of the importance of sustainable urbanisation, exchanging experiences and gathering knowledge, and building global and regional cooperation networks.

27.06.2022 WarszawaThe head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, together with Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defence Hanna Maliar, opened in Warsaw an exhibition of Russian military equipment destroyed by Ukraine. Minister Michał Dworczyk highlighted the heroism and determination of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians in defending not only their country but also Poland and the whole of Europe.

25.06.2022Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in the ceremony commemorating the 40th anniversary of the foundation of Fighting Solidarity. The anti-communist underground organisation was founded in 1982 in Wrocław. Its founder was Kornel Morawiecki. The goal of the organisation was the independence of Poland. The celebratory event took place at the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People's Republic in Warsaw.

24.06.2022Today saw the end of the two-day European Council summit in Brussels, devoted, inter alia, to the war in Ukraine and its consequences, as well as the prospect of Ukraine, Moldova and Western Balkan countries’ membership in the EU. EU leaders have decided to grant the candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova. The European Council has also approved financial aid for Ukraine in the amount of EUR 9 billion.

23.06.2022During the ongoing summit of the European Council in Brussels, EU leaders have decided to grant Ukraine and Moldova EU candidate status. This is a very important step on these countries’ path towards the Community, especially in view of the war in Ukraine. Poland was particularly active in striving for the award of candidate status to its struggling neighbour. As Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki emphasised, just 3 months ago this seemed impossible. However, the efforts of Polish diplomacy have proved successful and brought the desired effect.
