Agnieszka Chilmon
General Director of the General Directorate for Environmental Protection
Agnieszka Chilmon is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and of postgraduate managerial studies at the Warsaw School of Economics. She is an attorney (currently not practicing), a member of the Bar Association in Warsaw, and a member of the National Environmental Impact Assessment Committee.
Since the beginning of her professional career, she has been involved in comprehensive legal assistance in areas related to environmental protection law, energy law, and construction and real estate law. In 2016–2019, she was the Director of the Legal Department in the Ministry of the Environment. Previously, she was the general counsel at the United Nations Global Compact Network Poland, where she advised, in particular, on Polish, EU and international environmental protection law and coordinated “Bałtyk and Inland Navigation” infrastructure programs. In 2013-2014, she was in charge of the energy law practice.
Agnieszka Chilmon is the author of numerous scientific publications (including ones presented, among others, in “Zeszyt Naukowo–Techniczny Ciepłownictwo, Gazownictwo, Elektroenergetyka”, “Nowa Energia” bimonthly, “Energetyka Cieplna i Zawodowa” monthly) and press publications (to be read, among others, in “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” daily). She has also been a speaker at scientific conferences dedicated to the energy sector and a moderator of scientific conferences relating to environmental protection.
