Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate

Marcin Wójtowicz was appointed Director General of the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate with effect from 19 April 2021.

He has been intermittently involved in public service since 1999. He has worked, among other roles, as a legal adviser in public finance sector institutions. He has held senior positions in the civil service continuously since February 2015.

At the Ministry of Administration and Digitization, he served as Director of the Postal Department. At the Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction, he was Deputy Director of the Investment Location Department and subsequently Director of that Department. At the Ministry of Health, he served as Deputy Director of the Administrative Office and later as Director of the same Office.

He has several years of experience as Director General, having previously held similar positions from 2017 to 2019 at the General Office of Geodesy and Cartography (combining this role with his duties as Chief National Surveyor from February to June 2018) and at the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (2019–2020).

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Szczecin. He completed his judicial apprenticeship and passed the judicial examination. In 2009, he was entered on the list of legal advisers maintained by the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Koszalin, where he served as Deputy Disciplinary Ombudsman until 2012.

He has experience serving on supervisory boards of state-owned companies. Between 2010 and 2015, he was a member and later Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Research and Development Centre of Centrum Techniki Morskiej S.A. in Gdynia.

In 2023, he completed a postgraduate MBA in Public Healthcare organised by a consortium of the Krakow University of Economics, Krakow School of Business, and Lazarski University in Warsaw.
