Youth's voice as a driving force of ransformation

What is the role of youth in the city of Katowice? How do young people from the region shape urban areas and how does their energy impact development of the city? The presentation portrays three levels of engagement of youth in Katowice - levels from local to global show that each and every one of them matters and significantly influences development of the whole region.

The Partnership Initiative of Cities – networking project

Explanation of the main assumptions and effects of the project and presentation Skawina’s experience from the participation in the Cities Partnership Initiative, an “urban mobility” network and its influence on the development and implementation of “The Last Safe Kilometre” project that deals with the safe and sustainable school travel. The presentation will showcase the importance of the “local URBACT” participatory process and knowledge transfer that has occurred between the participants of the network - representatives of small and medium-sized Polish cities.
