Directors of EU paying agencies talk in Paris about the Common Agricultural Policy for 2023-2027

From 11 to 13 May 2022, the 51st Conference of Directors of the European Union Paying Agencies is held in Paris under the French Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The Conference of Directors of EU Paying Agencies is a cyclical event. It takes place twice a year in the country that presides over the Council of the European Union. The host of the 51st conference is France. The meeting is attended by the heads of EU paying agencies and agricultural sector institutions of all Member States and candidate countries, as well as representatives of EU institutions - the European Commission, the European Court of Auditors and the European Anti-Fraud Office OLAF. Poland is represented by Halina Szymańska, president of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture, accompanied by Emilia Godlewska, deputy director of the Analysis and Reporting Department.

The meeting was organized less than a year after the entry into force of the new implementation model of the Common Agricultural Policy for 2023-2027. It is based on strategic plans developed by the Member States and the resulting tools, for the implementation of which paying agencies in individual countries are responsible.

The topics discussed during the session relate to, inter alia, payments under the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF), the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), as well as mechanisms influencing the quality of the control and payment process.
