Conducting administrative proceedings relating to the operations of pharmacies, non-pharmacy outlets, pharmaceutical wholesalers, the manufacture and import of medicinal products, medicinal product advertising, and financial penalties;
Examining appeals against the decisions of voivodeship pharmaceutical inspectors relating to such issues as:
a grant, change, withdrawal, expiry of a licence to operate a retail pharmacy or limited service pharmacy;
an order to stop advertising pharmacies or a penalty for violating a prohibition against advertising;
an order to remedy breaches found during a control in pharmacies or non-pharmacy outlets;
Conducting administrative proceedings relating to such aspects as:
granting, changing, or withdrawing a licence to operate a pharmaceutical wholesaler business, manufacture, or import medicinal products;
ordering to remedy breaches found during inspections;
suspending the business of a pharmaceutical wholesaler or the manufacture and import of medicinal products;
Compliance of advertisements of medicinal products for human use with the applicable law;
Imposing financial penalties specified in the Pharmaceutical Law Act;
Evaluating and giving opinions regarding decisions, resolutions, and letters prepared by other departments of the authority;
Representing the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector before administrative courts;
Preparing individual legal interpretations on matters falling within the competence of the bodies of the State Pharmaceutical Inspection;
Conducting legislative works, especially with regard to the Pharmaceutical Law Act, the Counteracting Addictions Act, and implementing provisions to these acts;
Making sure that EU standards falling within the competence of pharmaceutical inspection are implemented into the domestic legal system.
